Joplin Flyers members enjoy our club CFII and we also work with the local FBOs to help our members get certified and continue to learn.  This page has great information regarding certification.  Feel free to drop us a line with any questions.  We would love to help you fulfill your dream to fly!

Private Pilot

 

Requirements

- Be at least 17 years of age

- Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language

- Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate

- Receive a minimum of 40 hours of flight time including training and          solo flight

- Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test

Instrument Pilot
Commercial Pilot

 

Requirements

- Hold at least a private pilot certificate

- Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language

- Log a minimum of 50 hours of cross country as PIC

- Log a minimum of 40 hours of actual or simulated instrument flight

- Recieve at least 15 hours of instrument flight instruction

- Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test
